I’m Boris, or Bo, Glumpler and I come from the bavarian town of Erding in Germany. I’m not too far off of 30, but not yet, 30 now and all is still good. I’ve still got a few years of travelling left in me.
I’ve had many jobs in my life, but the ones I enjoyed most were as a PADI Divemaster on Koh Tao and as a Dive Instructor on Koh Lanta, Koh Samui and Gili Trawangan, Indonesia!! All my watersports qualifications you can find here, just in case you would like to offer me a job.
I love travelling and it’s been in my blood forever. Ever since I can remember my parents would take my brother and me and drive off on some holiday behind the iron curtain to Eastern Europe with Muckl, our rusty, but trusted old trailer. We’d leave on the first day of the school holidays, sometimes earlier, and come back the day school started again.
I’ve always wanted to go on a big trip, see the world and once my military service was finished and I decided that a 9-5 job is not for me, I left for Southeast Asia and have been doing that more or less ever since.
I had the idea for this trip when I was slightly drunk and slightly annoyed, because I was drowning in snow in my hometown. To be honest, I was miserable. I had been living the past few years in England, Indonesia and Thailand and I missed the lifestyle and freedom big time.
So I thought, why not set myself a date and once I got there, I would just get up and leave? And until then I’d put a website online…
